The organization has implemented the following activities and projects:
- Computer Training and Web-pages Creation for Street Children
The Georgia Development Gateway Union (GeDG) in alliance with the Association MKURNALI with the financial support of the DFID (Department for International Development of the British Embassy Tbilisi) launched the Computer Training and Web-pages Creation for Street Children project in February 2005.
- Series of Workshops for Disadvantaged Youth
This project was aimed to train the Street Children and organize the educational workshops. The workshops developed their knowledge in the various fields, such as hairdressing; computer service and jeweler’s art. 30 students were trained in frame of this project. In order to make the educational development of the youth and as well the project implementation sustainable, the above-mentioned workshops and trainings are continued and association helps the trained youth to find workplaces according to the gained knowledge and skill. Also the training in sewing for the girls were organized; 14 students as the best participants were selected for the second stage of the project.
- Children for Peace and Friendship
The Association with its beneficiaries was hosting the Abkhazian youth and their families in Tbilisi. This was the special project including the cultural activities. The local youth spent the whole day with the Abkhazian group. They attended the Special Peace Service at the St. Panteleimon Church, on November 9, 2001 and had meetings with the parish; visited the exhibitions, attended the workshops and became familiar with the youth activities in Tbilisi. On the same day they were invite at the Georgian Patriarchy. The Patriarch Ilia the Second made a speech especially for this group and presented the gifts to all visitors. 17 kids and 5 adults were the participants of this program.

Clothing for Children
The MKURNALI provided the humanitarian Assistance to the representatives of the vulnerable part of the society. The clothing donated from the World Vision was distributed to the following beneficiaries: 30 Street Children living in the Shelter; 10 members of the parish; 1 Single mother; 4 orphans, the students of the secondary school # 171; 30 street children participants of the “MKURNALI” educational projects. 75 young persons were beneficiaries of this project.
- Anti criminal Education for the School children
The project was aim to educate youth in the anti criminal field. Through this training the youth became familiar with the Georgian Law with help of the specially trained trainer and lawyers. 45 young persons were the participating in this project.
- Trade - Exhibition
This project was conducted in partnering with the International Women’s Association. The Event was held at the Sheraton Metekhi Palace. The art of the youth trained by the Association MKURNALI was exhibited with the popular Georgian artists and artisans. The craft made by MKURNALI’s program participants was successfully presented to the society and the income from this event was equal to $235. All income will be used for the young authors. salaries, and the various charitable activities aimed to provide the aid to the other vulnerable people. 12 teenagers are the participants of the above program.

Work place: Ltd BERKLI
The Association facilitated establishment of the Ltd BERKLI, the profitable entity aimed to provide the youth with the workplaces as well as with the high qualified professionals whose responsibilities are to train and manage the youth as the Ltd employers.
- Income Generation for Youth
One of the goals of each projects and activities conducted by the Association is to provide the socially unprotected youth with the workplaces. The teenagers were helped and recommended to work in the various organizations: 2 teenage girls were recommended to work at the hair barbers two office on the positions of hair barber and manicurist; 5 youth are employers at the “Printers and Copiers Service Center” and carry out the tasks of the technical specialists. 5 young persons are involved in all activities conducted at the Jewelry Workshop. Total 14 students were provided with the workplaces and they work currently. On weekly bases the MKURNALI staff conducts the monitoring visits to the above organizations. Mr. John Korlett, the Rotary Club officer, the Head of the Social and Religious Fund and MKURNALI staff donated the working tools to the youth.
- “Children’s Art for Society”
The Association is collaborating with the “Manana’s Art Salon”. The Salon is helping in the popularization of the youth art and supports in sales activities. 5 teenagers enamel art (based on the ancient historical Georgian art ) is exhibited.
- “Save the Gift”
The Association provided the financial support to the gifted teenager sportsmen who comes from the vulnerable family, has disabled father and brother. The training at the Sport camp was funded.

MKURNALI for the Street Children
The teenagers from the Street Children “Momavlis Sakhli” (Home of Future) attended the Special Service at the St. Panteleimon Church conducted by Father Giorgi. 13 youth have been christened by the parish of the St. Panteleimon Church.
- Christmas Presents
UMCOR granted to the Association 24 boxes of the Christmas Presents (toys, pencils, colors, etc), that were distributed by the MKURNALI among the orphan children.
- New Year Presents
IRD delivered to the Association second hand clothing and some other items. The beneficiaries of the above activity were the youth, participants of the Association “Mkurnali’s projects, Street Children from the Children’s Shelter, vulnerable families parish of the Church.
- Private Donation - Financial Aid for the Heater
Ms. Delaila Ford and Ms. Glenis provided the financial aid for the production of the
enamel art for the Workshop.
- A
id to the Children Institutions in the Batumi city
Mr. John Corlett with help of the Organization International Cross Relief/Samaritian's Purse distributed to the Association MKURNALI 500 boxes with the Christmas presents for the children of the different age groups. The above donation was distributed to the following beneficiaries: 14 teenagers of the Association MKURNALI 180 vulnerable kids from the Shelters for the Street children and the children from the socially unprotected families; 40 kids from the Batumi Infant House; 90 vulnerable families parish of the Church; 80 having many children poor families; Refugee Children, Batumi Children’s Art Group “Limpopo” members; Refugee children, beneficiaries of the program managed by the Women’s Charity Fund “Favorite”; 97 children at the Batumi Orphanage.
- Aid to the orphans from Terjola
In the Terjola city happened an accidence: Five teenagers became orphans. The Association provided the assistance to this family. The orphans received from the Association the following food aid: wheat flour, oil, meat products; clothing, Christmas presents, school items, toys, etc. Father Giorgi presented to the family icon and the cross produced by the association Workshop students.
- World Food Programme (WFP) Aid
WFP granted to the Association Wheat Flour ( 300 kg), Oil ( 20 l), Fish Can (100 boxes), Beans (50 kg). The above donation was distributed to the Association beneficiaries, training program participants; 10 vulnerable families living in Tbilisi and village Gomi.
- Aid to the orphans from the village Gomi
In the village Gomi, Khashuri region lives the poorest having many children family in the terrible conditions. The five kids are very weak, and the sixth child was dead because of the lack of food. Practically disabled father and unemployed mother can not keep the family and provide their children daily bread. The Association provided the assistance to this family. The family received from the Association the following food aid: wheat flour, oil, beans fish cans, pasta, milk powder; Christmas presents, school items, toys, etc. Father Giorgi and Ms. Nino Chubabria presented to the family the money collected by the Mkurnali beneficiaries. The students of the association collected some money from their salaries and sent to the vulnerable children.

Aid to Dmanisi
There are the poor families in Dmanisi who suffer: these people have no food and live in the poorest conditions. Father Giorgi and the Association provided the assistance to the Azeri families in Dmanisi. The children received from the Association the following: Hygienic parcels with the following items: tooth brushes, tooth pastas, soaps, towels, candies and sweets; School Kits with pencils, pens, books, note books, colors, school items, toys, etc. sweets and candies have been distributed to the children; The clothing: hats, trousers, t-shirts, glows, etc.
- Equipment for the Jewelry Workshop
Based on Mr. Roy Godson and Fund XXI Century, donation the Association purchased the Equipment for the Jewelry Workshop. This equipment is aimed to prepare the serial production of the jewelry. This equipment will give possibility to 11 individuals to have a business. With the help of this equipment 11 youth will be employed and will learn the new techniques and methodologies.
- Computer Training Classes
The professional free of charge conducts the computer classes for the Jewelry Workshop and the Computer Service students. Youth is working on producing the special booklet about their activities. Also the Association collaborates with the GOSM (The Georgian Scouts Movement). The GOSM offered the Association free of charge special training course for the Association beneficiaries. 12 teenagers took one moth training course in MS Word, MS Excel, Word Perfect, INTERNET, MS Power Point, etc.
- Enamel Art Training Classes
The Association MKURNALI collaborates with the Association the Georgian Enamel. The high qualified specialist, participants of the World Art exhibitions, winners of the various art competitions expressed their wish to train youth free of charge. During two months these artisans trained 6 teenagers in enamel art. The produced jewelry is recommended for the exhibition in Great Britain.
- Charity Auction
The charity auction was conducted in partnering with the British Embassy. The jewelry produced by the youth trained by the MKURNALI was exhibited with the world artists and artisans. The craft made by MKURNALI is only art that was representing the Georgian culture. All income from the above Auction was spent for the charity activities by the British government.
- Badminton Tournament
Association with financial support of the Ltd BERKLI organized Georgian championship in Badminton. One of the MKURNALI’s youth became winner and took III third place.
- Christmas Gifts
Salvation Army has donated Christmas gifts to the association, that was distributed among the orphans from different schools.
- Joint Exhibition
Joint Exhibition was organized with financial support of the DFID and Ltd BERKLI in Pioneers House of Tbilisi. Following organizations took part in exhibition: “Home of Future”, “Child and Environment”, “Child Center for Art Development” (from South Osetia) and MKURNALI.
